Good evening, friends!
We had such a long, busy day today. Today was my son’s 4th birthday… Isn’t that the craziest thing you have ever heard?! It blows my mind that he can be this old, starting school this coming fall (I don’t think my momma heart is ready for that chapter). We celebrated at our home with our family coming over to have a smoked brisket and burnt ends that my husband made on our Traeger (It was phenomenal, in case you were wondering how it turned out)! I had my sister and her family over, my brother and his family over, and my mom brought her long-time boyfriend to enjoy the party. We celebrated with yummy food, great cake (from Sam’s Club), and opened so many gifts.
When my sister got to the house to celebrate with us, she brought out the large, half-sleeve temporary tattoos that she bought for my son!! He let her put one of the tattoos on his upper arm but then decided that he actually didn’t like the tattoo. This then led to me agreeing to get one put on my arm, too!! I already had one black-and-white moth tattoo on my left arm, now I have this very colorful dinosaur piece on my right lower arm! I truly don’t see anybody being surprised by me showing up with a random ass tattoo, but who knows… Maybe I can trick somebody into believing it is real!! (Sonny, I am coming for you… One of my anesthesiologists that enjoys giving people a hard time)!
Do you guys think that there is still a stigma remaining on tattoos that are visible in the workplace? I go back and forth on this… I truly think that it depends on the location, but that may just be my own feelings on it. What are your thoughts and feelings? Also, if you have any visible tattoos, I would love to see them!!! “I’ll show you mine if you show me yours…” NAME THAT MOVIE!!!!

This one is my permanent tattoo… It is a luna moth with my maiden name in my dad’s handwriting (he passed away in March of 2018). Go ahead and ask me why I got a moth tattooed in remembrance of him, I dare you!

Hell Yeah!! I know you are freaking jealous of our sweet new tats! Twins with our dinos… Eat your hearts out! But don’t leave us hanging, we want to see yours, too!
Probably one of my favorite moments of tonight was my son asking if he could take his new RC helicopter outside to fly it. We of course obliged… me, my husband, and my mom all followed bubs out and gave him full control of the remote… Probably not the smartest idea seeing as he had never flown an RC flyer before!!! Anyways, so he takes it up REALLY high, REALLY fast. It then went over the back of the house and just kept going higher and higher. Behind our fence is a very busy street and just past that is a large expanse of grass before meeting with other people’s backyards. My mom ran inside to grab her keys while me and my niece loaded into her car. We took off immediately to go find this missing helicopter… Mind you, the sun was setting and I could not see for shit! I was searching high and low for this helicopter while my mom and niece kept making U-turns to try and get me back in the car… Not on my watch!
Remember how I said that this expanse of grass backed up to somebody’s yard…? Well, they were having a Superbowl party and one of the guys came out to help me look for the helicopter!!! He ended up being the one to find it because he noticed it was still flashing… This damn helicopter survived what I just know had to be a major fall from the sky with how high my son had it!!! I am still cracking up about this fiasco my son put us through… but I cannot say I am surprised. There is always something happening with kids in the picture.
Anyways, I guess I will sign off of here because it is late and I have to be up early for a day in the Operating Room!! I hope you have all had a good weekend and were happy with the results of the Superbowl! Don’t ask me no questions about it because I did not even watch a second of that game… Listened to Bad Bunny from afar!
Good night, friends!
Love, Andi T.
