Hi friends,
My name is Andi T. I am a Registered Nurse of approximately 10 years. I am feeling the need to just talk and get things off my chest while also giving others a safe space to discuss different topics, whether that be related to nursing, parenthood (because men are encouraged to be here, too), difficulties in life (because Lord knows we all have those), the changes and happenings in the United States, or whatever you feel you need to talk about. I will let you all know that I won’t stand for rudeness or aggression of any sort, but we can all be adults and discuss topics in a healthy way.
With all of that being said, a little bit about me. I am a nurse (duh… already said that) and I work in the Operating Room. I have been in Oncology/Med-Surg, I have tried Travel Nursing, and Pediatrics. Currently, I work in Surgical Services in a permanent position, and I absolutely love our facility (management, coworkers, anesthesia providers, CRNAs, and the surgeons that can be major turds). The pediatric population has held a special place in my heart since transferring from adults to pediatric units back in 2018 and being able to help care for them in the surgical setting has been the most amazing part of my career as a nurse!
As well as being a nurse, I am also a mother of 2 children, a 4-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl. This puts me in the thick of parenting!! My husband and I have STRUGGLED, so if you relate to that aspect of life, feel free to talk to me about that, too. Parenthood is a straight up beast and difficult to navigate sometimes, so let’s talk about it. This is literally going to be a free-for-all to anybody that needs to vent and let off steam. If you relate in any way, interact with me. I would love it.
My life has been a whirlwind the past year because my home was hit by a tornado on April 2, 2025. We have been displaced and living in a fully furnished rental since that time, but our house is in the process of being repaired and we should be back in our own home in the next few months. If any of you have worked with insurance companies, I just know you relate to what a pain-in-the-ass they can be to get anything accomplished.
Anyhow… I have a shit-ton of stories that will probably make you squirm a little, jokey jokes that make me laugh (and might make you laugh), plenty of dark humor (mostly centering around a dead daddy), and the desire to just be open and accepting of any of you needing a place to be. I can’t wait to hear your own stories and learn more about what makes each of you unique (the more unhinged, the better). While I hope this page is inspiring to many, I also want this to be a very realistic place where you feel comfortable talking about the good, the bad, and the ugly because life isn’t always just positive… It can be downright ROUGH!
Talk to you soon, friends.
